From a field of five candidates, voters within the Walnut Creek Special Utility District’s taxing area elected three new directors to its board. The three candidates who received the most votes will be seated on the board.
Tom DeGeer garnered 723 votes. DeGeer was followed closely by Bo Walker with 719 votes. Stephen Rorai II received 593 votes. The three will serve on WCSUD’s board of directors for the next three years.
Candidate Brett Cheatham tallied 475 votes. Incumbent board member and current vice president Jim Cox was ousted by voters, receiving 441 votes. Neither earned a seat on the board.
