The intersection of East Fifth Street and Avenue A was closed April 28 to allow for the replacement of an underground storm drain. The intersection will remain closed for about two weeks, according to the city of Springtown.
This road closure is in addition to the road closure at Avenue A between Fifth and Seventh Streets, which remains closed for sanitary sewer improvements. While the intersection is closed, Fifth Street will also be closed between Main Street and Avenue A to prevent vehicles from getting to the closure and having to turn around to go back to Main Street and find an alternate route.
The starting point of the closure has been dependent on weather and will remain weather dependent. For more information and updates, visit the city of Springtown’s website at cityofspringtown. com or its Facebook page.
