SISD superintendent responds to bond approval

Voters approved the bond by a margin of 50.7%

In a press release shared with voters and residents within the school district, Springtown ISD stated that residential voters supported and approved the $98 million Springtown ISD bond proposal May 3.

The results will become official when the board of trustees canvasses the votes. With 55 swing votes, the bond passed with 1,844 in favor and 1,789 opposed. By a margin of 50.7%, voters entrusted the district to make program and cosmetic improvements plus construct a new elementary school.
