The National Honor Society chapter and Health Occupation Students of America hosted their first blood drive at Springtown High School Saturday, May 17. If their goal was met, the organizations will receive a $2,000 NHS grant.
Participants were able to have walk-in appointments and were seen by a nurse immediately. Carter BloodCare, who has hosted drives within the city before, partnered with the high school to help the students reach their desired goal.
