The Springtown Porcupine football linemen made a strong statement Friday, June 6, as they competed in the Lineman Challenge and brought home first place in the Division II category. With an event-best score of 80 points, the Porcupines outperformed all other teams in attendance and secured a spot in the State Final to be held June 20 at Howard Payne University in Abilene.

The Lineman Challenge is a specialized competition designed to showcase the strength, agility and overall athleticism of football linemen. With events tailored to the physical demands of the position, it gives linemen across the state an opportunity to compete head-to-head and stay sharp during the offseason.

Division II of the event included schools classified as 4A Large, and Springtown’s performance stood out above the rest. Their victory is a testament to the hard work and preparation of the Porcupine athletes and coaching staff.
