The Springtown Porcupine Baseball Camp wrapped up June 4 after three days of action-packed instruction, camaraderie and baseball fun. Held June 2–4, the camp welcomed 72 young athletes ranging from third to ninth grades for sessions focused on hitting, fielding and fundamental skills development.
Head baseball coach Colin Crawford and his staff led the camp, supported by members of the Porcupine baseball program. Together, they worked with campers on refining their techniques while keeping the emphasis on enjoying the game.
“It’s a camp for kids to come have fun being around the game of baseball,” Crawford said. “It also gives them an introduction to our program, coaches and players.”
