Team earns podium spot in Class 4A statewide event

The Springtown Porcupines offensive and defensive linemen earned a third-place finish at the Class 4A State Lineman Challenge, showcasing their strength, toughness and teamwork in a competition built for the unsung heroes of football.

Held as a statewide showcase, the Lineman Challenge draws high school athletes from across Texas to compete in a series of physically demanding events testing strength, agility and cohesion. The event provides a rare spotlight for linemen, who often play vital roles with little fanfare.
