Walnut Creed SUD is officially a month into having a new board of directors. The board hears a report from the project manager and general manager every month which updates the board and the public on the happenings of the water utility’s projects and its financial information.
During the June 16 board meeting, Project Manager Trevor Truss gave an update about the 11 projects under construction, three projects in the design phase and three completed projects.
Truss began by discussing the surface water treatment plant expansion project which was contracted at cost of $4,298,000. The contractor has been receiving pumps, filter components and other materials and has begun to deliver and mobilize to the plant site. Construction for this project will begin in July and will continue to be monitored.
