More than 90 young athletes participate in annual Porcupine tradition
The Springtown High School indoor facility was full of energy July 15–17 as the Porcupine football staff hosted its annual youth football camp, drawing a record turnout of more than 90 campers. “That’s the most we’ve ever had,” said Springtown assistant coach Taylor Jones. “It was a great experience for the kids.”
Held each day from 10 a.m. to noon, the camp emphasized core football fundamentals with drills in offense, defense, punting, passing and kicking. Each camper received a T-shirt and a certificate listing their physical measurables, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, pro agility times, and distances in the punt, pass and kick competitions.
