During a July 21 Walnut Creek Special Utility District board of directors meeting, Project Manager Trevor Truss gave the monthly engineer’s report which included updates on current bond projects.
FOR BOND PROJECTS UNDER CONSTRUCTION The surface water treatment plant expansion was contracted at a price of $4.298 million. The contractor for the project has been receiving the pumps, filter components and other materials. The contractor has begun delivering and mobilizing to the plant site and construction began in July.
The million-gallon ground storage tank at the plant site was contracted at a cost of $2,549,400 and is 95% complete.
