Hilltop Family Christian Academy hosted a bake and rummage sale to support students needing financial assistance. This event spanned two days at the Hilltop Family Church Youth Center. It was the first event of its kind to be put on by HFCA and was coordinated by Judy Workman, Amanda Kucker and Janet Heil. Kucker, who teaches third and fourth grades, said they’re hoping to continue this event for years to come.
“This is the first rummage sale that the school has done,” Kucker said. “We are hoping to make it annual, it’s difficult with the summer calendar.” Kucker said the event’s conception only happened two weeks ago.
“All of this was achieved within two-and-a-half to three weeks,” Kucker said, adding that the idea came from some parents whose children attend HFCA who need financial assistance to keep their kids in a Christian-based school.
