SHS band begins summer rehearsals in Texas heat
As the countdown to football season begins, the Springtown High School marching band — affectionately known as the Sound of Springtown — has already hit the pavement, literally and figuratively, in preparation for a busy marching season.
The band launched its annual summer rehearsals in mid-July, braving the relentless Texas heat in the high school parking lot. While players prepare for Friday night lights, it’s the Sound of Springtown that helps bring the full game-night atmosphere to life.
