As of this writing, 1 troy ounce of gold is selling for more than $3,300! Interestingly, a recent study led by Dr. Nils Messling and colleagues, published in Nature (May 1, 2025), concluded that “more than 99.999% of the Earth’s stores of gold and other precious metals lie buried … locked away within the Earth’s metallic core” (University of Göttingen).
