Young athletes sharpen skills, build connections
As July ended, the final whistle blew on a busy summer of athletic development for Springtown ISD students. From July 28–30, the last camp of the season took place at Springtown High School, with Porcupine volleyball hosting its final summer session under the direction of head coach Abby Zippoy.
The camp was divided into two groups: kindergarten through sixth grade athletes took the court in the morning, while seventh through ninth graders followed in the afternoon. The event gave young volleyball players a chance to learn foundational skills, gain confidence, and get their first taste of the Porcupine program.
