Board discusses construction of new elementary school
The Springtown ISD board of trustees held a special board meeting Monday, Aug. 11 to approve a construction manager a risk for a new elementary school to be built utilizing voter-approved bond funding. The construction manager at risk serves as the general contractor and assumes the risk for construction at a contracted price or the guaranteed maximum price. The construction manager is responsible for the project cost and schedule and provides design phase services in evaluating cost, schedule, constructability and alternatives.
Springtown ISD has been and continues to work with Huckabee Inc., an architecture and engineering firm that specializes in educational facilities and is the founding brand of MOREgroup, a platform of architecture, design and engineering firms, on the project.
