District, churches host annual back-to-school bash and supply drive
Springtown ISD saw its highest number ever when it hosted its annual back-to-school bash and supply drive in the Springtown High School cafeteria. On Aug. 10, families and students formed a line that wrapped around the building before 3 p.m. From haircuts to shoe drives, backpack drives and hygiene bags given away, the POJO spirit was in full effect – serving families and helping students get ready for school. The event was sponsored by Walnut Creek Baptist Church, The Word at Springtown, Hilltop Community Church, Springtown Community Fellowship, Cottondale Church of Christ, Springtown Church of Christ, Cornerstone Community Church, First United Methodist Church, Fundamental Baptist Church, Springtown First Baptist Church, Legacy Church, Springtown High School Showstoppers and the Springtown Lions Club.
