Springtown ISD’s annual convocation and vendor fair draws excitement as school year begins
Springtown ISD kicked off its school year with the annual convocation and vendor fair at Springtown High School Aug. 4. A convocation is a ceremonial celebration of the beginning of the school year; highlighting the graduating students, new teachers and staff. The Sound of Springtown band played various songs along with the Springtown fight song. The Springtown High School cheer team, SHS choir and color guard showed off their skills with performances followed by Senior Class President Joey Rios welcoming district staff to POJO Nation. Taylor Tomlin led the invocation and school spirit was on full display.
The vendor fair is a chance for local businesses to show off and display their POJO pride by selling their products, Porcupine merchandise, baked goods and other items. Teachers and staff can get a taste of what the Springtown community has to offer.
