12 Springtown animals adopted at North Texas mega event

Many furry friends of Springtown found new homes at the Fort Worth Mega Adoption event. The city of Springtown Animal Control department participated in D-FW’s biggest dog and cat adoption event held at the Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibits Hall on Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth. The two-day event consisted off attendees visiting two exhibit halls – one offering cats for adoption and the other dogs.

Many North Texas cities like Dallas, Irving, Fort Worth and others brought dogs and cats of all ages to potentially find a forever home. More than 1,000 animals were offered for adoption and 750 animals were adopted over the course of the weekend. The purpose of the event was to help animal shelters and humane societies ease overcrowding.
