Wild West Fest parade on the horizon
The biggest parade in Springtown is only 24 days away as the Springtown Area Chamber of Commerce gears up for the highly anticipated 41st annual Wild West Festival. This long-standing festival tradition rallies the entire community together as schools, businesses, first responder agencies and city officials make their best floats and show them off. The Springtown High School football team, the Sound of Springtown marching band, FFA members, SHS varsity cheerleaders, the Showstoppers and more will be featured in the parade. In addition to the parade, vintage cars, motorcycles, the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse on horseback will be featured as well.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept 20. Parade staging will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 9:30 a.m. behind Brookshire’s on Martin Street. The chamber asks that all floats be done in good taste with no political messages. All floats will be positioned based on category — no numbers will be assigned.
