Council approves final budget, lower tax rate

The city of Springtown has officially adopted its 2025-2026 fiscal year budget and a tax rate.

At a regular city council meeting Aug. 28, the council took a record vote to formally adopt the municipal budget effective Oct. 1 through Sept.30, 2026, with all members voting yes. Before the council voted, a public hearing was held, and no citizens made a comment.

The tax rate to fund the budget for the 2025-2026 fiscal year was next on the agenda. A public hearing was held and no one spoke.
