The Springtown Lady Porcupines continued their dominant run Tuesday night, Aug. 26, defeating Glen Rose 3-1 at home to improve to 27-5 on the season.
Springtown came out strong, winning the first two sets 25-21 and 25-19. Glen Rose showed fight in the third set, taking it 25-16, but the Lady Pines answered in emphatic fashion, closing out the match with a 25-15 win in the fourth.
Junior outside hitter Libby Tedder led the way with 18 kills, while senior libero Brooklyn Quintanilla anchored the defense with 20 digs. Quintanilla also etched her name into the Springtown record books, surpassing the all-time career digs mark of 1,439. She now stands at 1,541 career digs and counting, setting a new program standard.
