The Springtown cross-country teams turned in a strong showing Friday at the Burleson Elk Run, with three squads claiming runner-up honors.
The varsity boys, varsity girls and JV girls each finished second in their respective divisions, while the JV boys secured a third-place team finish.
On the girls’ side, Madelyn Walker paced the Lady Porcupines with a personal record of 12:15 to earn third place overall. Teammate Kerrington Edwards also set a PR, clocking 12:44 to finish eighth.
