Nationwide event aims to strengthen police-community partnerships
The city of Springtown is gearing up for a family-friendly, community-oriented event celebrated the first week of October every year in Texas: National Night Out. Events Coordinator Rachele Ortega says this event aims to create opportunities to strengthen law enforcementcommunity relationships.
“National Night Out brings neighbors and local first responders together in a familyfriendly environment,” Ortega said. “Our goal is to create opportunities for residents to meet and connect with police officers, firefighters and EMS teams in a relaxed but fun setting. We hope by building these relationships, trust will be built and encourage a more united community.”
