Springtown defense, special teams shine, team improves to 3-0
The Springtown Porcupines left nothing on the field Friday night, rolling past Kennedale 55-0 to improve to 3-0 on the season. Behind a stifling defense, explosive special teams, and a balanced offensive attack, Springtown delivered a complete performance at Porcupine Stadium.
Junior quarterback Kaine Hill continued to impress, completing 18 of 23 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns. His favorite targets were Christian Mendoza, who caught seven passes for 84 yards, and Karson Ferguson, who added four receptions for 84 yards and a score. Pilot Grubis chipped in three catches for 55 yards and a touchdown.
