The Springtown ISD board of trustees addressed an educator misconduct report made in May during its meeting Sept. 22. Board President Chris Gilley responded to the topic, which was brought up during the public comment portion of the meeting by Brian Vollman.

Reading from a prepared statement, Gilley said “We understand and appreciate the concerns expressed by members of community. The board takes this matter seriously and followed established personnel policies and the law. For clarity, the bond election occurred on May 3, 2025, and the district received a report of educator misconduct on May 6, 2025.

Because this is a confidential personnel matter, we cannot provide further comment at this time per the law. The district takes all reports of this conduct as seriously and remains committed to maintaining a safe, respectful and supportive environment for all students.”
