The Springtown Porcupines kept their undefeated season alive Friday night with a 49-20 road victory over Fort Worth Southwest, opening district play with a statement. The win pushed Springtown to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in district competition.
Quarterback Kaine Hill led the charge, completing 9 of 15 passes for 168 yards and three touchdowns. Karson Ferguson pulled in four of those completions for 75 yards and one score, while Christian Mendoza turned two catches into 73 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior Riley Jackson sparked the Porcupines on special teams, earning Special Teams Player of the Game honors after racking up 159 all-purpose yards. Jackson totaled 26 yards receiving, 78 yards on kick returns and 55 on punt returns.
