Springtown volleyball kept its winning streak alive last week with back-to-back sweeps over Castleberry and Bridgeport, tightening its hold on third place in the district standings.
On Tuesday night, the Lady Porcupines dominated Castleberry on the road, rolling past the Lady Lions 25-7, 25-6, 25-6. Junior standout Libby Tedder led the way with 14 kills, while Natalia Del Valle chipped in seven and Addy Burtnett added six. Senior libero Brooklyn Quintanilla anchored the defense with 11 digs.
The win moved Springtown to 3-2 in district, trailing only Decatur and Eagle Mountain, who both sit at 5-0 and will square off Sept. 30 in a battle of the unbeaten leaders.
