Springtown Police Department’s own Dusty Hilliard just happened to be in the right place at the right time when his resuscitation efforts resulted in not one, but two recent life saves.

Hilliard, a police officer with an EMT certification, was the first on scene for two medical calls that required CPR — and both lifesaving efforts proved to be successful.

The first incident occurred at the end of 2024 and involved an elderly male who was having a cardiac episode in front of Brookshire’s. The other medical call occurred earlier this year and involved a gentleman in his 40s who was also experiencing cardiac arrest at his place of residence.
