The Springtown Lady Porcupines volleyball team wrapped up the first round of district play and started the second round in dominant fashion last week, sweeping Lake Worth before taking down district rival and powerhouse Decatur.
On Tuesday, Sept. 30, the Lady Pines quickly dispatched the Lake Worth Lady Bullfrogs in straight sets, 25-10, 25-6, 25-11. With the win, Springtown secured third place at the end of the first round of District 7-4A play, trailing only Decatur (5-1) and district leader Eagle Mountain (6-0).
Junior outside hitter Libby Tedder led the offensive attack with 14 kills, while sophomore Addy Burtnett contributed eight kills and Olivia Williams added seven.
