Author: CYNTHIA GARCIA | SPRINGTOWN EPIGRAPH

Sara Dygert is the operations manager at The Azle News and Springtown Epigraph, where she plays a key role in keeping the newsroom organized, efficient and on track.

Born in Japan to Air Force parents, Dygert spent her early years in Wichita Falls where her dad was stationed. She lived there until she was about 12 years old before moving several times — first to Arlington, then Joshua — and eventually settled in Crowley. She graduated from Crowley High School in 1996.

Dygert went on to spend more than 20 years working in the car business. After a company buyout led her to step away from that career, she became a stay-at-home mom. Around that time, she met her husband Rob, a senior federal air marshal who recently retired. They eventually settled in Azle with their daughter Emily, attracted to Eagle Mountain Lake’s nearby location.
