It may have been the first-ever Parker County Senior Connections Expo Oct. 17, but the high turnout proved the event was long overdue.

Last Friday, Parker County Judge Pat Deen, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and other Parker County agencies collaboratively hosted a free expo geared toward senior citizens to learn about services and resources available in the area.

The event, located in Weatherford at Northside Baptist Church, provided an all-inclusive senior fair featuring information on local programs, organizations, clubs, churches and resources.
