Springtown High School Theatre is getting its “spook” on with the return of its “fang-tastic” haunted house, set for 6-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25.
While the SHS haunted house has been a tradition for the last few years, Theatre Arts Director Josh Sexton told the Springtown Epigraph they chose to take last year off to re-evaluate the impact of the event — and to make it even bigger and creepier than ever before.
“This year’s haunted house is more psychological than in years past,” Sexton said. “We want to play with the idea of nightmares and what could happen if you didn’t have to scream at your audience. Can you still scare them in other ways? As such, we are able to provide a toned-down environment if younger kids come through. However, it is designed for older teens, because they are trying to scare their friends.”
