The Springtown Lady Porcupines continued their surge toward the postseason with a pair of decisive district victories, downing Burkburnett and Castleberry in straight sets last week.
On Tuesday, Oct. 14, Springtown hit the road and defeated Burkburnett 27-25, 25-8, 25-21. Ryleigh Strickland led the charge at the net with 10 kills, while Brooklyn Quintanilla anchored the defense with 23 digs. Bailey Walker kept the offense flowing, dishing out 19 assists in the win.
The Lady Pines returned home Friday, Oct. 17, to face Castleberry in their annual Pink Out match, honoring breast cancer awareness month. The home crowd had plenty to cheer for as Springtown swept the Lady Lions 25-8, 25-10, 25-7, in a dominant display from start to finish.
