The Sound of Springtown marched right into the area finals after earning straight 1’s from the judges at the UIL regional marching contest Oct. 18.
Despite weather delays that threatened to dampen the event, the Springtown band delivered a powerful and precise performance, leaving no doubt they deserved a spot at the Area B UIL Marching Contest in Denton Saturday, Oct. 25.
Performances were judged by a panel evaluating multiple aspects of the show, including music, visual performance, and overall effect. The perfect scores mark another step toward the ultimate goal — a berth at the UIL State Marching Contest.
