Amid persistent resident complaints and ongoing development delays, the Parker County Commissioners Court is stepping up and taking action — choosing to take over responsibility for the Bittersweet Springs subdivision in Springtown.

During a regular meeting Oct. 13, the court voted unanimously to call the maintenance bond in the subdivision — essentially meaning the county can use these funds to address unresolved infrastructure issues.

According to Bittersweet Springs resident Jane Galvin, residents have waited for years for the development to be finished, claiming the developer, Crown Development, simply does not want to finish construction.
