The Springtown Lady Porcupines capped off a dominant week with two decisive district wins and a playoff-clinching sweep of Decatur Monday night, Oct. 27 in Paradise.
Last week, the Lady Pines breezed past both Bridgeport and Lake Worth, winning each match in three quick sets. Those victories forced a second-place tie in District 7-4A with the Decatur Lady Eagles, setting up a one-match playoff to determine seeding position in the Class 4A Division I playoffs.
Springtown wasted no time asserting control, taking the opening set 25-21 before closing out Decatur 25-19 and 25-21 in front of a packed crowd. The win marked the Lady Pines’ 40th of the season, a new program record.
