The Springtown Lady Porcupines cruised past Eastern Hills in three straight sets Thursday to capture the bi-district championship. Springtown wasted little time, defeating the Highlanders 25-11, 25-13, 25-13.
Junior outside hitter Libby Tedder paced the attack with 20 kills. Senior Natalia Del Valle contributed seven kills, and sophomore Addy Burtnett added six.
With the victory, the Lady Pines advance to the area round, where they will face Frenship Memorial Tuesday, Nov. 4, in Abilene. Frenship Memorial, a new school in the Frenship ISD, swept Graham Oct. 30 to set up the matchup.
