The Sound of Springtown marched onto one of Texas’ biggest stages Wednesday, Nov. 5, delivering a performance that placed them 16th among the top 218 Class 4A bands in Texas at the UIL State Marching Championships in the Alamodome.
Though the program did not come home with a medal, the Springtown community and band staff emphasized there was no shortage of pride.
“We are so proud of the students for their countless hours of hard work starting all the way back in May at our mini camps,” head band director Scott McPhetrige said. “All the long hours and early mornings resulted in an incredible performance in the Alamodome that we know the students will remember forever.”
