Tensions rose and accusations flew as dinner guests attempted to unravel the culprits behind a bank robbery through an interactive night of whodunit during the Legends Museum’s murder mystery dinner show Friday, Nov. 14.
As guests enjoyed their meal, they simultaneously played the part of detective — searching for and reading aloud clues throughout the 1920s-themed plot, inspired by Springtown’s own history, according to Museum Coordinator Amy Hedges.
“The 1920s theme emerged naturally from Springtown’s rich local lore and Parker County’s long history of early 20th-century outlaws, bootleggers and frontier drama,” Hedges said. “One piece of local storytelling that strongly influenced the event is the long-circulated belief that Springtown served as a potential hideout for Bonnie and Clyde during their North Texas movements.”
