On Nov. 11, Veteran’s Day, Springtown Elementary hosted its second annual Veteran’s Day Breakfast.
The event honored veterans in students’ families as well as staff members, giving the school a chance to honor their service and allowing students to create meaningful memories with loved ones.
“We were just inspired by a love for family and wanting to show them our deepest appreciation for their service. This is a way that we could do that, make those connections for those kids, those memories of bringing their grandparents or dads or moms or grandmothers, and then enjoying breakfast with them on a special day,” SES Principal Amberlie Thomas said.
