Georgia prison inmates, others arrested for scamming Parker County residents

We’ve all experienced it: countless phone calls from numbers we don’t recognize. When we dare to answer, the caller is either trying to sell something or — much worse — telling us there’s a warrant for our arrest or that we’ve missed jury duty.

It can be infuriating.

But there’s good news for some victims of these scams who live in Parker County. The Parker County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division recently made several arrests in a months-long scam investigation.
