A former firefighter with Parker County Emergency Services District No. 1 was arrested by the Texas Rangers Nov. 20 and charged with indecent exposure. He was booked into the Parker County jail and released the same day after posting a $1,500 bond. The charge is a Class B misdemeanor unless there are other factors present that could potentially enhance the charge.

PCESD1 issued a statement Saturday, Nov. 22 acknowledging the agency’s awareness of the situation and stating that Hinton’s last 48-hour shift with the department ended Nov. 16.

According to PCESD1 Fire Chief Stephen Watson, Hinton was a longtime volunteer for the Springtown Fire Department who also had a 20-plus year career with the Mansfield Fire Department. Upon retiring from Mansfield, Hinton accepted a paid position as a lieutenant with PCESD1 in July 2018. He has worked in that capacity since that time with no issues, Watson said.
