The Springtown boys basketball squad split a pair of games over the Thanksgiving break, dropping Monday’s contest before rebounding with a win Tuesday.
On Monday, Nov. 24, the Porcupines fell at home to a strong Paradise squad, 61-40. Paradise, a state tournament team in 2024, showed its experience early. Seniors Jodi Yescas and Loudon Strickland each scored 12 points, while fellow senior Keegan Gutierrez added 10 in the loss.
Springtown responded Tuesday, Nov. 25, with a 50-44 victory over Holliday. The win moved the Porcupines to 2-2 on the young season.
