Head coach Brian Hulett has plenty to be thankful for after guiding Springtown to one of the longest and most successful playoff runs in school history. The Porcupines finished the 2025 season at 12-1, with their only loss coming to Alvarado in the regional semifinals Nov. 28.

“Just like the last game for every team in the state but one, the one that wins it all, it obviously didn't end the way we wanted it to,” Hulett said. “However, when you step back and look at it all, we can say there were a whole lot of great things accomplished. It was a very successful season and one of the best in the history of our school.”

Alvarado advanced to face Celina in the regional finals, where the Bobcats took a 52-27 win to move on to the state semifinals.
