Springtown girls basketball posted a 2–2 record at the Sanger Varsity Tournament held Dec. 4–5, earning quality wins while continuing to build momentum in the early season.
The Lady Porcupines opened the tournament Thursday with a 44–40 victory over Keller Fossil Ridge. Junior standout Brylynn Bazzell led the way with 19 points, while Olivia Williams added 12 to push Springtown into the winners’ bracket.
In the second-round matchup, Valley View edged the Lady Porcupines 52–48 despite another strong showing from Bazzell, who scored 18 points. Kaylee Falcon contributed 10 in the close contest.
