Elizabeth Jean Wilson

Elizabeth Jean Wilson, lovingly known as Jean or Meme, passed away peacefully in her sleep April 4, 2026, at the age of 86 in Fort Worth, the city where she was born Dec. 11, 1939.

Visitation will be held at White's Funeral Home in Springtown from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 16. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 17 the Springtown Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life.

Jean lived a full and loving life. She was a devoted wife, proud mother, creative spirit and determined businesswoman, but above all, she was the heart of her family. Everything she did was rooted in love for her people.

She married the love of her life, Jimmy Wilson, and together they built a home in Springtown filled with laughter and loyalty. They raised four daughters — Joella, Mildred, Dana and Pamela — whom Jean taught strength, generosity and unwavering love.

Jean was an entrepreneur, artist and poet whose creativity reflected her thoughtful and passionate nature. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, and making memories with those she loved. Known for her humor and generosity, she had a laugh that filled a room and a spirit that lifted others. She gave freely of herself and never expected anything in return.

Jean’s faith was a quiet but steady presence in her life. There is comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loved ones and at peace.

Jean’s love was bold, unwavering and unconditional. Her family carries that love forward — holding each other close, giving freely, and never forgetting to laugh.

If Jean could say one last thing to all of you, her family would want you to know this: she loved you all with all her heart. That love was never in question, never conditional and never small. It was as bold and fierce as she was. Carry it with you. Let it remind you to laugh a little louder, give a little more freely, and hold your people a little closer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wilson; daughters Joella Dickson and Dana Hamil; sons-in-law Rick Hamil and Gary Treas; and grandson Sammy.

She is survived by her daughters Mildred Treas and Pamela Wilson; sons-in-law Benji and Al; grandchildren Davin, Garolyn, Olivia, Michael, Drew, Crystal, Regina, Cecilia, Jimmy Alton, Jannifer, John John and Marty Don; along with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
