Richard Alan Long, 71, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, in Fort Worth.

There are no public services scheduled for Mr. Long.

He was born April 30, 1955, in Fort Worth to Billy Richard Long and Mary Anice (Pace). Richard grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Paschal High School. Richard studied to become a welder.

Richard was friendly. He was easy to talk to and made friends quickly. He enjoyed working on home projects and small engines.

Richard will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Richard is preceded in death by his father, Bill Long.

He is survived by his children Brian Long and his wife Amanda, and Christy Long; mother Mary Grantham; grandchildren, Shyla, Shyenne, Shania and Brian; great-grandchildren, Saylor, Clara, Austin and Prosper; siblings, Cheryl LaFreniere and her husband Rick, Debbie Ross and her husband Byron, David Long, Kenny Grantham and his wife Sherry.
