Springtown seeks artists for first-ever downtown mural

The city of Springtown is inviting professional artists to submit proposals for what will become the city’s first public mural. The proposed mural is a part of the city’s Downtown Enhancement Program and is intended to become a signature landmark for the community, creating an exciting backdrop where residents and visitors can take photos during everyday visits to the downtown Square.

The professional artist selected for the piece will be expected to design and paint an original, large-scale artwork on the side of the AV Ranch Western Wear building in downtown Springtown.

The space available for the artwork measures approximately 22 feet tall by 53 feet wide and is located on an uneven rock wall surface. The artist must take account of the wall texture and propose materials suitable for a long-term, outdoor art installation.
