With the addition of new roles within the Springtown Police Department — specifically two patrol corporals, eight patrol officers, two dispatchers, four communications officers and an evidence technician — the department’s Uniform Crime Report shows crime is at a low for the city of Springtown.

During 2025, patrol officers initiated 13,760 security checks, with the most significant result being only one burglary reported for the entire year.

“The several thousand security checks are helping us. What we’re doing seems to be working very well as far as criminal offenses, as well as accidents,” said recently appointed Chief of Police Jamie Oliver at the Feb. 26 city council meeting.
