The city of Springtown continues to work on major improvements to its water treatment system while moving forward with plans to replace a key water transmission line.
Upgrades to the city’s water treatment plant are underway, with several components already in progress. A new generator was delivered in February, and scheduled installation work on the intake and booster pump stations remains underway. The project is expected to be completed between June and July.
Once finished, the improvements are projected to increase the plant’s pumping capacity by an additional 500,000 gallons per day. The system currently produces about 1 million gallons daily and is expected to reach approximately 1.5 million gallons per day after the upgrades are completed. The work also includes electrical enhancements and addresses aging infrastructure within the existing system.
